Beware of Chikungunya Encephalitis: IMA

New Delhi, September 05, 2016: Severe encephalitis related to chikungunya infection has been reported in Delhi said Padma Shri Awardee Dr K K Aggarwal National President Elect IMA.

 

Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) disease can cause CHIKV-associated encephalitis. One can detect CHIKV RNA or anti-CHIKV immunoglobulin M in cerebrospinal fluid, warns IMA. 

 

IMA was the first to report chikungunya cases in West Kidwai Nagar in NBCC construction area and is now first to report spurt of cases of encephalitis in Delhi linked to chikungunya, said Dr Aggarwal.

ट्रैफिक जाम में फंसे लोगों को कैंसर होने का खतरा

ट्रैफिक आज के समय में एक बड़ी समस्या बना हुआ है। लंबे ट्रैफिक जाम से गाड़ियों से निकलने वाले जहरीले धुएं स्वास्थ्य के लिए बेहद ही नुकसानदायक होते है। एक नए रिसर्च के मुताबिक, ट्रैफिक जाम में बार-बार फंसने से आपकी सेहत पर बुरा असर पड़ सकता है। जिसके कारण कैंसर जैसी बड़ी बीमारी के चपेट में आ सकते हैं।

इंग्लैंड में यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ सरे के भारतीय मूल के प्रशांत कुमार ने ट्रैफिक जाम पर किए गए रिसर्च में बताया है कि घंटों और लंबे ट्रैफिक जाम के कारण गाड़ियों से निकलने वाला धुआं शहरों के वातावरण को प्रदूषित कर कई प्रकार के जहरीले गैस बनाता है, जोकि कि घर में बैठे व्यक्ति की तुलना में ट्रैफिक में फंसे लोगों को कई गुना अधिक प्रभावित करता है।

इतना ही नहीं, प्रशांत ने अपने रिसर्च में बताया है कि ट्रैफिक जाम के दौरान कार में बैठे लोग अपने शीशे को नीचे करके बाहर की हवा न लें, बल्कि एसी से निकलने वाली हवा या फिर कार के अंदर की हवा को ही रिसर्कुलेट करते रहना चाहिए। ऐसा इसलिए, क्योंकि पिछले कुछ अध्ययनों के मुताबिक आम ट्रैफिक के तुलना में घंटों और लंबे लगे हुए ट्रैफिक जाम में फंसे हुए लोगों को 29 गुना ज्यादा प्रभावित करता है।

हालांकि अक्टूबर 2013 में, वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गनाइजेशन (WHO) ने यह जानकारी दे चुका है कि शहरों में घंटों और लंबे ट्रैफिक जाम से गाड़ियों से निकलने वाला धुआं जहरीला होता है। सांस लेते वक्त यदि यह धुआं हमारे फेफड़ों में जाए तो कैंसर और हार्ट अटैक जैसी गंभीर बीमारी होने की संभावना हो सकती है।

Health Ministry to begin awareness campaign on dengue, chikungunya

The Health Ministry will start an awareness campaign on dengue and chikungunya in the wake of rising cases of the vector-borne diseases across the country, an official said on Wednesday.

West Bengal has recorded the highest number of dengue deaths in 2016 at 22, while Delhi has witnessed three dengue deaths till now, according to the Health Ministry.

The other states which have witnessed a rise in the number of dengue and chikungunya cases include Karnataka and Kerala.

"The Health Minister held a meeting on the rising cases of dengue and chikungunya on Wednesday in the national capital and other parts of the country. We have decided to take a few initiatives and start a comprehensive Information and Communication campaign to tell people about the prevention," Health Secretary C.K. Mishra told reporters.

When asked why West Bengal was witnessing an increase in deaths related to dengue, Mishra said: "West Bengal has more of Type 3 dengue, while other places like Delhi are witnessing Type 2 dengue."

"AIIMS has also done the testing of West Bengal samples and found it to be Type 3 Dengue," Mishra added.

There are four distinct but closely related serotypes of the virus that cause dengue (DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4). Recovery from infection by one provides lifelong immunity against that particular serotype. 

However, cross-immunity to the other serotypes after recovery is only partial and temporary. Subsequent infections by other serotypes increase the risk of developing severe dengue. 

Observing that there was a rise in mosquito breeding in Delhi, Mishra said hospitals have been given time till August 28 to check if any of the places in their premises have mosquito breeding grounds, after which action will be taken if they are found lacking.

A seminar will also be held in the coming week where 68 poster and oral presentations will be given by the states on various ways to tackle vector-borne diseases like dengue and chikungunya.

"We had 198 proposals but out of them only 68 have been selected. If the presentation of any of them is found good then the other states may be asked to implement that," said Mishra.

According to the statistics of the various municipal corporations in Delhi, the national capital has witnessed a total of 20 chikungunya and 311 dengue cases. However, sources from various hospitals place the figure far higher at over 400 for chikungunya and over 600 for dengue.

मित्रांनो आपण सर्वाना केळे खूप आवडते आणि आपण भरपूर खातो. परंतू सध्या बाजारात येणारी केळी हि carbide युक्त पाण्यात भिजवून पिकवली जात आहेत. हि केळी खाल्ल्यास १००% "CANCER" अथवा पोटाचे विकार होऊ शकतात. त्यामुळे शहाणे व्हा आणि अशी केळी खाऊ नका.

एखादे केळे carbide चा वापर करून पिकवले आहे हे कसे ओळखल.?

• केळे नैसर्गिक रित्या पिकवले जाते त्या वेळी त्याचे देठ कोमेजते ( काळे पडते ). 
• नैसर्गिक पिकवलेल्या केळ्याचा रंग गर्द पिवळा असतो आणि त्याच्यावर थोडेफार काळे काळे डाग असतात. 
• जर तेच केळे carbide चा वापर करून पिकवले असेल तर त्याचे देठ हिरवे असते आणि केळ्याचा रंग lemon yellow असतो. इतकेच नाही तर ते एकदम स्वच्छ पिवळे दिसते. बिलकुल डाग नसतात.

Carbide म्हंजे काय आणि त्याचे गुणधर्म kay.?

Carbide जर पाण्यात मिसळले तर ते heat emit करते. खेड्यामध्ये जिथे LPG cylinder उपलब्ध नसतात तिथे एका close tank मध्ये पाण्यात carbide मिसळतात व त्यातून येणाऱ्या gas वर gas cutting केले जाते. (म्हणजे त्याची calorific value एवढी high आहे कि it can replace LPG gas.)

याच प्रमाणे ज्या वेळी एखादा केल्याचा घड त्या carbide युक्त पाण्यात बुडवून काढला जातो त्यावेळी हि उष्णता केल्यात उतरते आणि आणि त्यामुळे केळे पिकते. हि प्रक्रिया वापरणारे व्यापारी इतके शहाणे नसतात कि त्यांना हे कळेल कि किती डझन केल्याच्या साठी किती carbide वापरावे त्यामुळे carbide चा अनिर्बंध वापर होतो. ज्यामुळे अतिरिक्त उष्णता केळ्यामध्ये साठून राहते व आपल्या पोटात जाते. यामुळे आपल्या पचनसंस्थे मध्ये एखादा tumour form होऊ शकतो.

म्हणून विनंती करतो. 

विषारी केळ्यावर बहिष्कार घाला. 

आंब्यावर पण हाच प्रयोग केला जात होते. लोकांनी म्हणून या वर्षी कमी आंबे खाल्ले आणि आंबे व्यापार्यांचे डोळे उघडले. आता केळ्यावर बहिष्कार घाला.

Be Alert: Posh Restaurant Kitchens Lay Unhygienic In Bengaluru, Finds Out BBMP Joint Commissioner

In a shocking revelation, the Joint Commissioner of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Yelahanka, Mr Sarfaraz Khan and Additional Commissioner, East, Mr K C Yatish Kumar found out on Saturday that many posh restaurants in Bengaluru’s Lavelle Road have absolutely unhygienic kitchen conditions.

 They went on to inspect several restaurants and found that though the exterior and the dining spaces of these restaurants were absolutely spick and span, but the most important areas, where the food gets prepared, are below the levels of standard hygiene.

 Although, these restaurants charge a lot of money for food and are committed to serve clean food to its customers, the BBMP officers witnessed that kabab skewers were kept at places where the employees wash their hands. At one restaurant, they found, rusted knives were being used to cut food items and also meat gets marinated in the backyard, where the employees wash themselves. They also saw all sorts of meat — chicken, mutton, beef and pork — are piled up at a single place, not separately.

Not only this, but the restaurants were also found selling cigarettes, which is not allowed. Besides, they were overcrowded and were playing music louder than permissible limits.
The BBMP imposed heavy fines on some of these restaurants. They are also planning on installing CCTV cameras inside the kitchens of these restaurants so that the customers can view from the dining space how their food is prepared.

Dear Friends, Good morning, last Saturday , myself and Mr Yatish , Additional Commissioner, East , inspected couple of posh restaurants of our City on lavalle Road, along with our Health officers , officers from pollution control board and police . Similar inspections were done by all my health officers all cross the city . It was really sad to see that hygiene in the kitchen was bad , the dinning area is extremely clean , but the most impo thing place were we prepare food must be absolutely clean , this hotels charge ,bomb for a meal , they should also have the commitment to give clean food to its customers . Things we observed was kabab skewers are kept were the employees wash there hands and all that calls on the kabab , one guy is using rusted knife , the other one was marinating meat in his backyard were his employees wash themselves , the meat is not kept separate , lamb , beef ,pork or chicken , Almighty knows what the serve us . 

The music should be played within 50 units , most of these hotels have systems which can play upto 99 units , they blast the music in the night and make the neighbours life miserable ( lot of complaints from residents) . 

Cigarettes cannot be sold in this restaurants or displayed , they were doing both .

Hotels Jam packed , over crowded , taking more than there capacity. 

We fined them heavily, one kitchen is closed for three days .

Plastic was used but in reduced quantity, they were booked for that also . 

I have directed my officers to regular conduct inspections and regulate this hotels / restaurants. 

I was also wondering if the kitchens are displayed to the customer in the dinning area through CCTV camera , it will go a long way in public hygiene .

अगर किसी व्यक्ति की accidental death होती है और वह व्यक्ति पिछले तीन साल से लगातार इनकम टैक्स रिटर्न फ़ाइल कर रहा था तो उसकी पिछले तीन साल की एवरेज सालाना इनकम की दस गुना राशि उस व्यक्ति के परिवार को देने के लिए सरकार बाध्य है ।

जी हाँ , आपको आश्चर्य हो रहा होगा यह सुनकर लेकिन यह बिलकुल सही सरकारी नियम है , उदहारण के तौर पर अगर किसी की सालाना आय क्रमशः पहले दूसरे और तीसरे साल चार लाख पांच लाख और छः लाख है तो उसकी औसत आय पांच लाख का दस गुना मतलब पचास लाख रूपए उस व्यक्ति के परिवार को सरकार से मिलने का हक़ है।
ज़्यादातर जानकारी के अभाव में लोग यह क्लेम सरकार से नहीं लेते हैं ।
जाने वाले की कमी तो कोई पूरी नहीं कर सकता है लेकिन अगर पैसा पास में हो तो भविष्य सुचारू रूप से चल सकता है ।
अगर लगातार तीन साल तक रिटर्न दाखिल नहीं किया है तो ऐसा नहीं है कि परिवार को पैसा नहीं मिलेगा लेकिन ऐसे केस में सरकार एक डेढ़ लाख देकर किनारा कर लेती है लेकिन अगर लगातार तीन साल तक लगातार रिटर्न फ़ाइल किया गया है तो ऐसी स्थिति में केस ज़्यादा मजबूत होता है और यह माना जाता है कि मरने वाला व्यक्ति अपने परिवार का रेगुलर अर्नर था और अगर वह जिन्दा रहता तो अपने परिवार के लिए अगले दस सालो में वर्तमान आय का दस गुना तो कमाता ही जिससे वह अपने परिवार का अच्छी तरह से पालन पोषण कर पाता ।
सब सर्विस वाले लोग हैं और रेगुलर अर्नर हैं लेकिन बहुत से लोग रिटर्न फ़ाइल नहीं करते है जिसकी वजह से न तो कंपनी द्वारा काटा हुआ पैसा सरकार से वापस लेते हैं और न ही इस प्रकार से मिलने वाले लाभ का हिस्सा बन पाते हैं ।
इधर जल्दी में हमारे कई साथी / भाई एक्सीडेंटल डेथ में हमारा साथ छोड़ गए लेकिन जानकारी के अभाव में उनके परिवार को आर्थिक लाभ नहीं मिल पाया ।
